Did you know when most of Havre, MT burned down almost a century ago, businesses moved underground until the town was rebuilt? You can take a tour of Havre beneath the streets and see what life was like 100 years ago under the city. At one point the local businesses had to reside underground to continue with day to day business. Eventually the town was rebuilt but the physical landscape of that time still exists today for visitors like you to experience. If you are local to Havre and have not seen this piece of Montana history then call a friend and go for a visit. It’s a very neat experience packed with a ton of information. Make sure to check out the Havre Railroad Museum while you’re there!
